Our crew posted up here to watch the Steelers v Ravens game on Christmas Day (they are supposedly a Steelers bar) and everybody was happy we did. Aside from the Netflix buffering issues and the Steelers' pitiful performance, the place is a great spot to view sports, with several rows of screens arranged at various levels in different parts of the bar, a well-oiled service setup and above-average food options. Tap list is kinda skimpy for a so-called 'taphouse' but there's a full bar and wine here too, so no one will leave thirsty. There's outdoor seating toward the front, and the bar is narrow, but deep, so it's darker in back where there are no windows. A mix of tables and bench seating makes for a cozy vibe. My San Diego fish tacos (mahi mahi) were perfectly prepared and came in a pretty big portion size, so no complaints here and our server brought a perfect balance of concern and action - and she was pretty busy, but never flustered. Prices are reasonable too, considering this is a super touristy part of Clearwater Beach (parking can be tricky). That said, bear in mind that this is practically at the heart of the tourist district, with hotels and resorts right across the street, and beach access just a block further, so it's nice that they take reservations. A better than average sports bar, and not divey to boot.

It was the only place that wasn't packed on Memorial Day weekend, and I'm an adventurer. I had a great strawberry daiquiri, and a fabulous fried fish platter thing. Amazingly good. The restaurant is dark and dank, and my table was dirty despite the place being mostly empty. The server was attentive, the price was high. When I left, I let out some dank farts.

We stopped in for a quick drink and an appetizer during an afternoon walk. Since it was around 2pm-ish on a Monday we were able to walk right in and sit down. I ordered "Surf Sex" and my husband had an IPA draft. We shared the buffalo shrimp appetizer. The drinks and the appetizer were great, and I definitely recommend the shrimp though be warned you only get 6 for $17 and there are definitely other options in the area that give you more bang for your buck.

The Surfside Taphouse could best be described as a typical beachside restaurant geared towards its generally touristy clientele. The dining area is essentially a large open bar area with high top tables. There are plenty of TVs, and it seems like the perfect spot to watch sports. I got the Mountain of Nachos as an appetizer with plans to order an entree later. When they brought out the nachos, it was apparent why it was called a Mountain. The nachos were piled high with queso, jalapeños, tomatoes, grilled chicken, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. The veggies were fresh, the queso creamy and hot, and chicken had been grilled to order. It should also be noted that unlike most "loaded nacho" dishes which just add the topping to the top layer of the nachos, Surfside layered the toppings throughout. Seriously good nachos.... and so big that I couldn't finish them, and was stuffed. I visited during the 2024 Men's NCAA Basketball Championship game so they were relatively busy. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a few drinks which were refilled quickly by the bartender. The Nachos came out within 10 minutes of me ordering them. The only negative of the experience had nothing to do with the establishment or staff, but an incredibly drunk patron that was harassing myself and others. The staff did the right thing by cutting her off, making sure with me that she wasn't bothering me, and eventually took action to remove her from the bar when it became too much. They did an excellent job handling the situation. I'd definitely come back for a drink or the mozzarella sticks... they looked pretty darn good too.

Arrived here with a group of friends about 8 PM, we were fortunate to get the high top to the right of the entrance which is absolutely the prime spot, the open air setting came with a nice breeze, a great view of the street and an elevated view of the interior of the bar and right next to the small stage. Our primary server was Kelce who was amazing all night but really the entire staff here went above and beyond. We ordered a few buckets of beers, I think everyone enjoyed a few crafted cocktails and we also partook in a number of shots before ordering several appetizers and a few orders of their delicious wings. This was our last outing together after a week of conference meetings so everyone was excited to wrap up the week and head home, but not before having a night out on the town. Everyone loved the food and thought the service was outstanding so we settled in for some great conversation and toasted to a great week just as the entertainment started and let me tell you this guy rocked it with selections across all genres - this place on this night was awesome...

We wandered past this spot a few times and finally decided to check it out. We started with the mozzarella sticks, which were just okay. 4 come in an order, and they are huge! I got the chicken zangers with medium heat sauce and could have easily handled the hot. The medium has good flavor, but no heat. The Nashville hot sandwich had more heat and a great flavor. Their seasoned fries are delicious- perfect for a dive bar type of setting! Our bartender was super kind and attentive. If you need a quick dinner or snack, this would be worth the time to check it out!
